Managing Exam Subjects in the Sharp Teacher App

Overview

To begin, navigate to the examination section of the app. Click on any exam to access the subject management interface. A list of subjects included in the exam will be displayed.

Adding a Subject

By default, all subjects are added to the examination. To add a new subject:

  1. Click the Add Button: A subject form will appear.
  2. Select a Subject: Choose the desired subject from the dropdown menu if it is available.
  3. Edit Details: Modify the total marks, passing marks, and the datetime for the paper as needed.
  4. Save Changes: Click on the "Add Subject" button to save your changes. The new subject will now appear in the list.

Editing a Subject

To make changes to an existing subject:

  1. Access the Menu: Click on the three vertical dots icon next to the subject.
  2. Choose Edit: A popup menu will appear; select the edit option to open the subject form.
  3. Update Details: Make the necessary changes to the subject details.
  4. Save Updates: Click on the "Update Subject" button to save your modifications.

Deleting a Subject

Removing a subject means it will no longer be visible on the DMC (Diploma of Mastery Certification) and will not be included in marking:

  1. Open the Menu: Click on the three vertical dots icon next to the subject.
  2. Select Delete: A confirmation popup will appear after you click the delete option.
  3. Confirm Deletion: Click "Yes" to permanently delete the subject from the list.

Generating an Empty Award List

To facilitate the entry of students' marks, you can generate an empty award list:

  1. Access the Menu: Click on the three vertical dots icon next to the subject.
  2. Select Award List (Empty): Choose this option from the popup menu.
  3. Download PDF: A PDF file will be generated, which can be shared with subject teachers for marks entry.
